Fall in CRWA!

My name is Bahareh Sanaie. I graduated from University Putra Malaysia with a master's degree in environmental engineering. I have recently begun working at CRWA as a GIS intern. Interning with CRWA has been one of the most exiting work experiences for me sincegraduation.

I have been working with the 2 other interns, Ian and Liza who are very friendly and full of energy, on CRWA’s Daily Flagging Program. However, as my main responsibility, I work in the office as GIS intern, which I am truly enthusiastic about. I also joined the CRWA staff at a phosphate reduction training in Wrentham, which was really interesting for me because my master's thesis was about phosphorous and nitrogen biological removal from wastewater and I understand the value of this work for the community and environment very well. It is always satisfying for me to be in a community that cares about the earth.

I received very exciting news last night!

The Charles River is the 2011 winner of the International Riverprize, the world’s largest and most prestigious environmental award!
I am very happy to hear this news and I appreciate the opportunity to be a CRWA intern and work with their great, committed staff.
