To all you readers out there - sorry we've been on a hiatus! Though movies may depict us as low-tier workslaves, interns have to take a break sometimes too! But now we're back for the fall. Though I came into my internship intending to only stay through the end of August, I loved it so much at CRWA that I decided to extend my time here until October. Unfortunately Cait, on the other hand, has moved onto bigger and better things (aka, more classes). On the plus side, I'm sure you'll be hearing from some of the awesome, new CRWA fall interns shortly!
Though my first day back (today) started a little rough, it was great to be back on the water. Justin (a new fall intern) and I went bacteria sampling this morning on the Charles for the flagging program. As usual, we had boat problems (that included problems starting the boat, being able to start the boat and drive away and then noticing that the gas wasn't connected properly, then realizing we had a broken gas valve and having to turn around to change boats). Also, for the first time ever that I've been out on the launch boats, it started not just raining, but pouring. Currently though, I'm changed and back in the office so I really can't complain.
I'm excited to keep working on the projects I've invested so much time in already and I can't wait to tell you about all the great things to come!
Peace!
- Ingrid
